THE GREAT WALL SERIES

Photographed over many years along remote and often unrestored sections of the Great Wall, this series looks beyond the monument as a familiar national symbol. Through weathered walls, ruined watchtowers, and the landscapes that surround them, Jian-ping Wu records traces of time, history, and human presence. The Great Wall emerges not simply as a monument, but as part of a changing landscape shaped by nature and memory.
