BAMBOO

Over many years, Jian-ping Wu photographed bamboo across rural China—not only as a plant and landscape, but as a material woven into everyday life. The series traces bamboo through cultivation, architecture, tools, furniture, transportation, and domestic objects, revealing its enduring presence in the relationship between people and their environment.
